also a suspected cop killer after a nine-day manhunt. orlando police arresting loyd to the same handcuffs that he allegedly murdered. found lloyd inside an empty home armored and wearing body arm. also this nsa whistle-blower just got the green light to stay in russia. extending his asylum until 2020. he could apply now for citizenship. he's been in the hiding for the last three years after leaking u.s. surveillance secrets. more than a million people have petitioned the white house to pardon him. and listen to this one. hillary clinton is coming out of the woods and onto the clearance rack. our friend maria bartiromo tweeted out that she stumbled on this 75% off sale of her merchandise in a store in washington d.c. look at that. look at herself just for a discount. >> values, values, values.
5:10 am
brian: we'll find out what's going on with hillary clinton next because she will be as functioning more as a former first lady with bill clinton because he'll be at the inaugural. bush 43 will be at the inaugural as well as former first lady laura bush. although bush 41 couldn't be there because of his health, and we hope he's okay today, he did write a nice letter to donald trump wishing him luck, considering more likely he didn't vote for donald trump. that says a lot. ainsley: something you would frame. has he written you a letter? brian: bush 41? brian: no, he hasn't. steve: i got one. ainsley: did you frame it? steve: of course it's framed. brian: you know what's interesting? they write notes to each other and leave it in the desk. the oval office desk. what will barack obama write? ainsley: i don't think i knew that. so there's a stack of letters? steve: no, there's a single envelope, and it's from the fella who sat in the chair before you. i'm sure he has already written it.
5:11 am
it's 8:10 now no new york city. brian: president obama commutes the sentence of bradley manning because he leaked documenting and betrayed his fellow soldiers and bipartisan backlash the fiery tissue left her nose sore and red. so dad slayed the problem with puffs plus lotion, instead. puffs have pillowy softness for dakota's tender nose. with lotion to comfort and soothe when she blows. don't get burned by ordinary tissues. a nose in need deserves puffs, indeed. now get puffs plus lotion in the squeezable softpack.

. steve: right to a fox news alert. on one of his final days in office, president obama setting free one of america's controversial prisoners. we're talking about chelsea manning. ainsley: now set to be released three decades early. brian: christian fisher is live outside the white house with the fall out. kristen. >> well, this decision to cut chelsea manning's sentence by almost 30 years means president obama has now granted more commutations than any president in history. now, the white house says the rational for this release has everything to do with manning accepting responsibility and expressing remorse for her crimes and nothing to do with wikileaks or its founder who had been campaigning for manning's release. the transgender army officer was convicted of releasing more than 700 classified documents to wikileaks. now released in may. both republicans and democrats on capitol hill are calling the move outrageous.
5:16 am
>> for president to adopt a cause for no sound reason of national security or criminal justice encourages people who want to take that kind of action outside of the law. this is going to be very harmful. >> now, manning was one of 273 people to receive clemency on a single day. last year president obama released 109 for a total of 1385 commutations over his presidency. and the white house says expect even more commutations on thursday. so this will undoubtedly be a major focus of president obama's final press conference which is an hour away. steve: thank you very much. the question is which day is he going to pardon bowe bergdahl. brian: releasing and sending them to yemen or saudi arabia.
5:17 am
imagine the people trying to get killed getting those guys? and now letting them out because you had a campaign promise? how is that responsible? ainsley: it's unbelievable. and not convicting or indicting hillary clinton for leaking a lot of secrets too? that could have gotten in the hands of other countries and put our men and women who fight for this country at great risk. i don't understand. i don't understand why -- these are very series allegations. brian: oh, absolutely. ainsley: not allegations. convictions. steve: the guy -- the woman now is a traitor. and kellyanne conway was with us about an hour ago. what's at play here? simple. it's politics. >> the documents that chelsea manning had acquired were found on osama bin laden's computer. that tells you how important it was and what a great threat it was. so i would ask him why on the alter of national security and
5:18 am
intelligence we would be so cavalier at this moment. but party pardon politics at its worst. the way we treat somebody or the way we look at leaking really depends on whose ox is being gored. brian: the president just doesn't care. a high school senior in his last day says i'm going to college. it doesn't matter. ainsley: then why don't you go to college? why do you have to stick around and pardon everyone and then go to college and let somebody else clean up the mess? brian: this one even his own secretary of defense in the camp, senator and a lot of democrats can't block it. president obama just admitted to the prison catch and to many, it's a game changer. ainsley: and more of the exclusive interview with president-elect donald trump. ainsley: when i ask you about your speech. the inauguration speech. have you prepared your speech? have you practiced? what's your first line?
5:19 am
the answer to that question and the one-on-one interview. next.
5:20 am
5:21 am
5:22 am
steve: well, we are so lucky that you were able to obtain the final exclusive interview with donald trump before he puts his hand on the bible and becomes the 45th president. ainsley: yeah, we're really grateful that he allowed us to go turnover over there to trump tower yesterday, to sit down with him for a long interview, even answer some of your questions. brian: i get the sense that he is going to make trump tower the almost like a cohabitation with the white house. i sense he's going to be there a lot. ainsley: well, i will say it's very convenient for us because you just walk over a block. normally you're getting on a plane and going to -- it's
5:23 am
really nice to walk over. steve: what about for him? ainsley: well, that's true. he's going to have to go back and forth. but individuals his own plane and he is president. i asked one of the guys where is the ladies' room? he took me the long way and then i used it later and there was a shorter day. eric was sitting at his desk. he came out and talked with me. a bunch of people we've interviewed in the past. i said eric, has your wife gotten a dress yet? has laura gotten a dress? oh, i have no idea. it's crazy how women put so much focus on that and men don't care. here's the serious news you care about. here's donald trump. ainsley: president-elect trump, thank you so much for meeting with us today. >> thank you. ainsley: exciting week for you. what's the first thing you're going to do when you walk into the white house? >> well, i'm going to go to work. monday is really the day that
5:24 am
we start signing and working and making great deals for the country. ainsley: i know melania and your son are going to stay here until they finish school. will they be there? >> oh, yeah, my whole family is going to be in the white house. barren and melania and all of my children will be in the white house, which is sort of a tradition. they say the first night you have your family there but ivanka, don, tiffany, they'll all be in the white house. and it's very exciting. there's something special about that building. err time you walk in it, something so special about the white house. ainsley: not many people to say they are the president of the united states of america. >> very humbling, i will tell you. ainsley: i am sure. do you think about your parents? >> i do. my parents were great. i had great parents and loving parents. my father was a strong guy. actually, my mother was at least equally a strong but a lot of people didn't quite understand that. but she was strong but good. both good.
5:25 am
great hearts and great parents. ainsley: i want to ask you about your speech. your inauguration speech. have you prepared your speech? have you practiced? what's your first line? >> well, i have prepared it. the first line is thank you, everybody, all presidents. including president obama and michelle who has been really nice. ivanka spent time with her, it was supposed to be a quick conversation, and they spent an hour. so i'm just thanking president obama, and i'm thanking his very lovely wife because they have been so gracious. we're going to have a tremendous turnout. i think from what i'm hearing, the numbers are going to be astronomical. ainsley: there are congressmen and women who have decided not to show up and not be there. what was your reaction when congressman lewis started this? >> well, what he said is he's never done it before, but he has. you know, he has done it before because he did it with
5:26 am
president bush 43, and he did it on the same basis.he is not r president or something thereabouts. and that's a very bad misrepresentation. so let's see what happens. as far as other people not going, that's okay because we need seats so badly. i hope they give me their tickets. are they going to give us our tickets? or are they going to give them to other people? no, what happens with their tickets? i hope they give us their tickets. ainsley: what about these celebrities who are now pulling out? >> many of the celebrities who are saying they're not going. they were never invited. i don't want the celebrities. i want the people. and we have the biggest celebrities in the world there. ainsley: you. >> i won't say that. and president obama. and president obama. ainsley: how about these designers who don't want to dress your wife. did she even ask tom ford? >> never asked tom ford. doesn't like tom ford. doesn't like his designs. tom ford is an example. i will not dress the first lady.
5:27 am
and steve nguyen just called me and said he thought it was so terrible that tom ford said, he through his clothing out of his las vegas hotel. i'm not a fan of tom ford. never have been. ainsley: i heard smaller parade, fewer balls. why is that? >> well, they had 10, 12 balls. we have one ball i think it's 25,000 people and they're going to be bigger. but who wants to have, like, ten different balls? so we did fewer. everything sold out. you can't get a ticket. but, in fact, my biggest problem is you can't get tickets to any of this stuff. it's impossible. i was told some of the dress shops in washington, you can't get a dress anymore. it's, like -- it's just going to be an amazing weekend. it's going to be something special. and you will have crowds like they have rarely seen before. ainsley: what about twitter? are you going to continue to tweet? >> yeah. look, i don't like tweeting. i have other things i could be doing. but i get very dishonest media.
5:28 am
very dishonest press, and it's my only way that i can counteract. ainsley: cia john brennan responded to you on twitter. you questioned whether or not he was the leaker. >> well, i accept it. it came out of some place. and it's fake news. it's all fake news. i can say something about george w george washington. i can say something about abraham lincoln. i can say something about you. just fake news, and they shouldn't have been a part of it. they should not have been a part of it because it's made up, never existed, never happened. and the reason i say that so strongly because nothing's ever going to show up. there's never going to be a tape that shows up. there's never going to show up. now, i would be very embarrassed if a tape actually showed up saying something like that. i would be double embarrassed because if i am saying there is no tape, there is no event. i was never even in that room for that period of time. they made stuff up, and it started with the republican party when they tried to beat
5:29 am
me in the nomination, and then it went on the democrats took over that work supposedly. and by the intelligence giving it credence, a little bit of credence just by talking about it, it was very inappropriate. i have no idea who the leaker was, but it's fake news. ainsley: press briefing room. are you going to move it? >> so we want to move it. for whatever reason, you'll have to explain this to me and everybody. we get a lot of people showing up for press conferences, et cetera. including briefings. and the room is too small. so we said we're going to move it to a larger room in a nearby area but, you know, not the same area. and the press went crazy. so i said let's not move. but some people in the press will not be able to get in. we'll make sure you get a seat. but there's too many people for this small room. >> especially nowadays with bloggers and with radio. ainsley: we have so many people that want to go. so we'll have to just pick the people that get into the room. i'm sure other people will be
5:30 am
thrilled about that. but we offered a much larger room because we need a much larger room, and we offered to do that. but they went crazy, and they'll be begging for a much larger room. you'll watch. ainsley: did you see the impersonators standing in for you? we asked them this morning. is there any advice for mr. trump? he said apparently watch his step. he tripped going down a step. >> we don't want that to happen. steve: now, i think that's an exclusive. there's not enough room for our own fox john roberts. ainsley: i'll let him have the chair if he wants. steve: now, if tom ford a designer were a question asker, get him out. ainsley: yeah, i don't think he's allowed in. it's interesting because he said all of these musicians as you heard said they weren't going to play. well, you were
5:31 am
never asked to play. i- it's up to george bernstein. in charge of entitlement. ainsley: it was funny, though. he was, like, who wants to go to ten balls? brian: yeah, i know. a lot of dancing for him. coming up straight ahead. the phrase that got him elected. >> make america great again. okay? you knew that one. brian: huge breaking news. the president-elect changing his slogan. ainsley: plus our next guest is taking tv and the internet by storm. >> say hello to my lord in savior jesus christ, my parents, pretty much out there. >> you look sharp, by the way. >> them girls are thinking gotcha. ainsley: well, now he's going national. janice dean is showing him how to do the weather. >> we've got your weather. coming up on fox and friends. i need to promote my new business and do it on budget. i can make that happen.

feel better. brian: i could not believe this. i've never seen anything quite like this. it happened last night. our friend tucker carlson exposing a hoax. these two. confronting a man about his fake company that's claiming to send thousands of paid protesters to the inauguration. watch. >> this is a sham. your company isn't real. your website is fake. the claims you have made are lies. this is a hoax. let me start the beginning, however, with your name, don, which is not your real name. >> it's dominic. ls are silent. >> that's a lie, and you know it's a lie. >> we are greatly, greatly supporters of julian assange,
5:36 am
and we support the truth to get out there. >> really. so you're pretty supportive of peyton manning, are you? >> extremely, yeah. >> he meant chelsea manning. >> so he was being covered. i don't think he did. he tried to let everybody know that it was a scam and tucker was unmasking him. so little by little, tucker was breaking him down and -- ainsley: but why would he admit it? >> he wanted to expose the paperwork from the 1947 rosswell crash. ainsley: tucker had him on to expose or to talk about what he was doing. and then in the middle of the interview exposed him? brian: he's a scammer. and he was covered by other major newspapers as legitimately paying protesters. steve: way to go tucker. brian: and tucker unmasked him, and he tried to go along with the joke a little bit. ainsley: how funny is tucker?
5:37 am
i love watching his show because i love watching him get in a fight. >> that will go down in history. brian: i don't know where it's going. steve: it's peyton manning's favorite too. >> it's so good. everybody loves tucker. we do have a fox news alert and a texas detective gunned down in the line of duty. 47-year-old jerry jerry walker responding to a gunman in north dallas. shooting walker through a window as he barricaded himself inside a home. the suspect found dead after a six-hour standoff. how sad. and another transfer before president obama leaves office. four more gitmo detainees will be released today. three to the uae, the other to saudi arabia. the white house admitting the president will not fulfill his campaign promise of closing down guantanamo bay. >> i don't anticipate that we will succeed in that goal.
5:38 am
but it's not for a lack of trying. the only reason it didn't happen is because of the politics. members of congress and both parties, frankly, played with this issue. >> there are now 41 detainees left in gitmo. and forget make america great again. president-elect trump is already thinking about his reelection slogan in an interview with the washington post. he seems to decide right on the spot keep america great exclamation point. mr. trump then tells his team to trademark it. what do you guys think of that? brian: keep america -- it's very good. just saved some room on the hat. >> it has to work on the hat. ainsley: should web honest? >> still laughing about the tucker interview. ainsley: something else that's really cute and funny. we love janice dean but have you ever heard this kid do the weather? >> why did you want to be a
5:39 am
weather kid? >> because i wanted to be on tv again. i want to say hello to my lord in savior jesus christ. my parents, pretty much everybody out there. >> you look mighty sharp, by the way. >> them girls are thinking. gotcha. and where i live, liberty. brian: well, as you know that's 9-year-old charlie going on 29. he went viral after appearing on that segment on the fox affiliate in north carolina. steve: now he's going national. he's in the weather center with chief meteorologist janice dean. now, janice, charlie is not a want to be weathercaster. he's just a character who found himself on tv in his home state. >> so, charlie, tell us how are you feeling as a national weather reporter? >> i mean, oh, my. omg. i am thinking, man, i am shocked. i mean, oh.
5:40 am
i mean, i feel good. >> okay. so -- but your shoes hurt you were telling me earlier. >> yeah. i have heel pain. >> heel pain. that's the problem. a weather person, you have to stand a lot. >> yeah. >> so the heel pain, you have to get better shoes. are you ready to do the national forecast? this is big time. >> big time. >> let's do the national forecast. >> all right. >> well, it's going to be 60 nup raleigh where i live liberty. 63 over in atlanta and. >> don't go too far. >> on the west, like, right over here where denver is and all of that, we've got low temperatures like 24, 14, 37, 27, 18. and now -- >> where are we? >> okay. this is the last 24 hours. it looks like the rain just went by my hometown liberty and went onto raleigh and now
5:41 am
it's headed down to the east. >> give the five-day forecast so they can see your face. >> i can't do the clicker. >> yeah, you can. >> okay here we go. here's my hometown liberty, north carolina. wednesday it's going to be 61, sunny with a low of 37. thursday 61 a low of 45. friday partly cloudy. >> and sometimes you know what? sometimes if you give some excitement, i'll do a little dance on the weather mat. >> okay. >> come on. do the dance on the weather mat. oh, yeah. >> janice, it's one thing to assist you but then give a very technical weather clicker where he controls the weather cast. that was great. >> you can take that home. you can open up garages with that clicker. steve: that's absolutely true.
5:42 am
>> hello to everybody in north carolina. big time. ainsley: charles, you're great. thank you so much for being on with us. steve: we saw him. we wanted to see him. we've seen him. ainsley: you're living great if you live in liberty, north carolina. breaking this morning george hw bush has been hospitalized starting with shortness of breath. dr. marc siegel has been in touch with his team. he's going to give us an update coming up. >> but first senator rand paul is here. president-elect trump is already onboard. and i a closer look at that plan. next. americans - 83% try to eat healthy. yet up 90% fall short in getting key nutrients from food alone. let's do more. add one a day women's

5:46 am
brian: well, the battle over obamacare continues. how will republicans go about repealing and replacing the affordable health care act quickly? donald trump talked about it with ainsley. >> we have to replace it quickly. that's what i'm talking about, and we'll have blockade back in the states because there are people who can't afford it and nobody is going to be dying on the streets with president trump. brian: our next guest has his own replacement plan in constant contact with his rival. republican rand paul who got another six years. is he right? is the president-elect right that there is something in place to cover everyone and no one will be dying in the streets? >> oh, absolutely. and people have to remember before obamacare, people weren't dying in the streets. we had an imperfect system that needed to be improved upon.
5:47 am
but we have a system even before obamacare where 85, 90% of people were covered. so what i would like to do is expand that, and i would think that the goal should be as president trump said that everybody should be insured. that is the goal. i want everybody to be insured of the most people to be insured at the least amount of cost. the problem with obamacare, it added to mandates, which deterred young, healthy people from buying insurance. i want to do the opposite. i want to lower the cost so more people will be able to buy insurance. brian: so to put it simply, we were giving a lot of money to the states that we didn't have to insure people that might not have been insured before but the policies weren't effective. so how do you panic, the average person who isn't knee-deep in politics with health care knowledge listening right now? >> basically what obamacare did was expand medicaid. but it also said, hey, guys, it will be for free. all of the states you can put all of the poor people on the rolls, but it won't cost you
5:48 am
anything because the federal government is going to pay for it. the rub is, though, the federal government has no money. the federal government borrows about a million dollars a minute and has a $20 trillion debt. so what i said is let's be honest about it. what can we do to make the economy strong enough that we only have a small percentage of people who can't get insurance? that's the first thing you need to do. and then if you have to provide to people with medicaid, let's be honest about the accounting. and if states want to have more expansive medicaid, they should probably raise taxes on their citizens to pay for it. brian: can you give me two ideas of what makes rand paul's plan workable? >> first thing you have to do is legal i see insurance. get rid of all the obamacare mandates and let people buy whatever kind of insurance they want and that will drive the prices down. second thing, help people save through health savings accounts. give them tax credits, tax ducks to save in these savings accounts. and then the third thing is
5:49 am
individuals need to join together in groups so that they can get the leverage and reduce in cost and also get insurance that won't drop them. brian: senator, you have to get the house to listen to you, the president-elect to listen to you, and about eight democrats to go with you because you need 60 votes to fully replace; right? >> i've got my work ahead of me. i already have the ear of the president. now what we have to do is get the ear of the leadership and the senate and the house. i'm working on that, so i've got a lot of work between now and the next couple weeks. brian: you know, it's amazing. you and ted cruz seem to have the best relationship with president-elect trump, and you guys were the most bitter rivals to start with. you put all of that behind you for the good of the country. thanks so much for joining us, senator. >> thank you. brian: all right. coming up straight ahead. a fox news alert. president hw bush 41 hospitalized. i've been in touch with his team, and he's next up with his condition. >> our best to him. brian, good morning to you.

5:54 am
health cares. he broke a bone in his neck. here to weigh in dr. siegel. should web worried about bush 41? >> no. we should. in what i'm hearing, he was just admitted on saturday, brian because of shortness of breath. the same thing that happened in 2012 when he had bronchitis. when you have parkinson's, you have trouble with is h. he's awake. he's alert. he's chipper. he's responding. my own prediction from what i'm hearing is that he should be out of the hospital in a couple of days. brian: not being able to clear your throat. that's what you're saying, isn't it? >> because of secretions buildup. it's not always like that. but it could be difficult. steve: when you hear shortness of breath, that could be a symptom of a lot of bad stuff
5:55 am
but given his history, you feel that's what's going on. >> well, also, steve, because you're immobile. make sure they get in the hospital, have no blood clots, but by now, all of that would have been ruled out. so now that he's saying he's responding, he's better, responding to the breathing treatments, i know that's a very good sign. ainsley: well, we knew he wasn't going to go to the inauguration for health reasons. but 43 and his wife are going to be there. i wonder if it's going to change things for them. i wonder how good he's doing. >> i heard he's doing well and 43 is still if we could to attend the inauguration. so nothing has changed. my prediction would be he would be out of the hospital. but, look, when you're a former president of the united states and as well loved as george hw bush, you take every precaution. he's there as a precaution. not because he's getting worse. have fun at the inauguration.
